𝑴𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝑵𝒆𝒘!

Yesterday we were able to hand these two young ladies a “Made New” box with a Bible and other resources to help them begin their faith journey.

God is doing an amazing work here in Pender County and they are 2 of 41 souls that have been saved over the weekend at the revival at Cora’s Grove Church!

We celebrate new life, transformed lives, and the Kingdom work being accomplished through this ministry of Jay Boyd and the Coras Grove Church. Revival is continuing on through Wednesday!!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There’s always something special about the first Sunday of the year. Let’s lay a foundation together that puts Christ first. 10:30 AM is coming quick, so get ready and meet us at 904 S. Walker St. in Burgaw!

2025 was a year of growth and blessing for our church family.

We saw prayers answered, miracles take place, new families find a home, and lives transformed by the power of Christ. God is truly building a dwelling place among us!

As we step into 2026, we are believing for even greater impact as we continue to serve Burgaw, reach our community, and strengthen people in their faith. There is no limit to what God can do.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…”
— Ephesians 3:20–21

This Sunday is Selah Sunday.

Selah is a biblical word found throughout the Psalms.
It means “Pause. Reflect. Lift your eyes.”

It isn’t something God–or the Psalmist speaks. It appears when the music stops so the meaning sinks in.

First Use:
📖 Psalm 3:2 - “Many are saying of my soul, ‘There is no salvation for him in God.’ Selah” David pauses in the middle of distress, before declaring trust.

He concludes in verse 8: “Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah”

👉 Selah appears before resolution, not after it.

2025 isn’t over yet. You may have not found resolution yet to some situations you have been praying for. Pastor Ashton and I want to encourage you to:

- Reflect on where God has been faithful in 2025.
- Look ahead to where He is leading in 2026.

Sometimes the most powerful worship
happens when we stop long enough to listen, lift your eyes to your Creator, and Selah.

It’s going to be a BIG weekend at DPC and we are expecting nothing less than for God to do BIG things!

Rhonda Holland will be with us Friday at 7 PM & Sunday Morning at 10:30 AM!

Sunday is a special celebration, honoring The Vinceks for their pastoral leadership and dedicating baby Ezekiel to the Lord. Food will follow the service, so bring a side dish and plan to spend some time with the DPC church family!

Today we pause to honor our veterans—those who have shown this kind of love through their service. Thank you for your sacrifice. May the Lord bless you with peace and strength. 🇺🇸

On Sunday the Lord ignited hearts and moved among us in such an incredible way! 🔥

Pastor Ashton challenged us to be wood gatherers this week and to be intentional about letting that fire continue to blaze in our hearts. Has anyone been gathering wood? Diving into the Word more? Allowing the Holy Spirit to breathe upon you during times of worship and prayer?

Arise & Shine!

Over the past month, we’ve witnessed heartbreaking violence and wickedness—two of these major events happening right here in our own state. Our hearts ache as we grieve the innocent lives lost and the sense of safety that’s been stolen from so many. Even this past Sunday, believers in Michigan saw their entire lives turned upside down while gathering for worship.

It may feel like darkness is winning, but we must remember this: there is a light that shines brighter than it all—the light of Christ. In days like these, it is our calling and responsibility to reflect that light. Don’t shrink back. Don’t be ashamed. Instead, be bold, stand firm, and shine bright for Christ in the midst of the darkness.

Something special is in store for tomorrow, it’s Missions Sunday! One of our very own, John Adams, will be sharing about Rehoboth Ministries and the work they do in Haiti! John has lived in and served the people of Haiti for numerous years. He will be going back next month for a visit and we will get the opportunity to support and sow into the ministry that will be taking place. We invite you to join us and partner with the work that is taking place to grow the Kingdom of God!

Sometimes life may be shaky, but there is a solid foundation we can build upon! Pastor Tommy is going to be sharing about how Christ is our Cornerstone. Let’s grow in God’s Word together!

Yesterday we were reminded to go back to the basics and focus on the cross. Lord, let us come back to the heart of worship and not become overwhelmed by the cares of this life. We have a message of hope and healing to take to the world. Help us not become distracted, but more intentional than ever to share that message and live lives that are pleasing to you!

We are still planning to gather tomorrow morning for worship! Please use caution when traveling and make the best decision for you and your family. In the event of needing to cancel due to the tropical storm, we will share that decision no later than 8:15 am. We are praying for the safety of all in the path of this storm.

Thank you to all who participated in the month long baby bottle campaign to raise funds for Life Line Pregnancy Center. The work that they do to come alongside of those experiencing unplanned pregnancies is simply amazing. From free ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, resourcing, and more they are making an incredible difference in helping mothers “choose life!” If you’re interested in learning more about their services or how to partner with them feel free to reach out!
