Today we were reminded through the story of Joash in 2 Kings 13 that God may have more for us than we are willing to reach for. Joash struck the ground three times and stopped, but God had declared deliverance. How often do we do the same—stop praying, stop believing, or stop expecting because disappointment has taught us to settle? The question isn’t whether God is still able; it’s whether we’ve decided to say “when.” Whatever you’ve stopped believing God for, pick the arrows back up and strike the ground again. Don’t settle when God is calling you to keep going.

It’s family time!

Tomorrow we’ll get a firsthand experience of what kid’s church is like at DPC as we’re bringing KID’S CHURCH TO BIG CHURCH. We’ve spent the last few months implementing new curriculum, recruiting new volunteers, and planning to make our kid’s ministry better than ever before! We believe kid’s church isn’t just childcare, it’s intentional discipleship!

We can’t wait to worship with our little disciples. 😊

After our service together we will also share a meal and take time to just hang out with our church OHANA! 🌺

It’s going to be a great day! We hope you’ll join us!

While some schools have already started, we know most in our county will return on Monday. We are taking time tomorrow in our morning service to pray over our students and staff. Bring your kiddos for this special time of prayer!

A few weeks ago, Pastor Tommy shared a message called “That They All May Be One” from John 17:20–23.

Jesus prayed that His people would be ONE— not because we would agree on everything, but because our unity would be a witness to the world.

But unity doesn’t happen by accident. We have to contend for it.

So what does that look like practically?

It’s officially Sunday!

We are looking for big smiles and for God to move in a big way. 🙌

No midweek activities this evening. We will see you all on Sunday!

Sunday was a reminder that following Jesus has always required faith. Every new season asks us to trust Him before we can see what’s ahead. But the good news is this: Jesus is already on the other side of our obedience.

We sent one of our own, John Adams, forth with blessings as he steps into a new season of opportunity.
We encourage you to continue to pray for and sow into @rehobothhaiti which John represents! What a joy it’s been to be a part of John’s story while he was in Burgaw.

Our prayer is that whether coming or going, all connected to DPC will be blessed! 💙

The fireworks may be over, but there’s no doubt God wants to display how He’s working in your life! Let’s worship together and receive all He has for this first Sunday of July! 🎆🙌💙

Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today we’re thankful for the freedoms we’ve been given and for the men and women who have sacrificed to protect them.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the blessing of living in this nation. We ask You to heal what is broken, unite what is divided, and turn hearts back to You. Give wisdom to our leaders, protection to those who serve, and peace to every community. May America be a nation that pursues truth, justice, compassion, and righteousness. Let Your Church shine brightly with the hope of Jesus, and may revival begin in us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Bible tells us that God uses the foolish things to confound the wise. It’s amazing how the Holy Spirit can use the simplicity of an illustration in a children’s book to bring inspiration for a message to His people!

Today we celebrate God’s presence among us in such a special way during worship, people stepping into new serving roles, a full house, new faces, DPC Kids being poured into, encounters with the Lord in the altar, and most importantly TWO people getting back on TRACK in committing their lives to Jesus!

Rejoicing! 🙌

This week we’ve been preparing for YOU! We can’t wait to see how the Lord will speak to hearts and touch lives. See you at 10:30 AM!

Happy Father’s Day from DPC!

Pastor Tommy dove into an Old Testament account this morning to highlight how the blessing of the Father isn’t just Manasseh—forgetting the pain. It’s Ephraim—becoming fruitful in the middle of it. Through Jesus, God takes our broken places and turns them into places of fruitfulness. That’s the blessing of the Father!

Juneteenth reminds us that God is a liberator. From Egypt to Calvary, Scripture reveals a God who hears the cries of the oppressed and moves to set them free (Exodus 3:7-8).

We are believing for God to touch every heart and life as He is exalted and His Word declared! Come expectant. God has something special for YOU! 🙌

Sunday May 24th is Pentecost Sunday!

Pentecost was not just an event, it was the beginning of a Spirit-empowered Church.

The same Spirit who filled the Upper Room is still moving today—bringing salvation, healing, freedom, and transformation.

We are believing that all will experience the power, person, and presence of the Holy Spirit as we gather together.

Community churches are coming together in Burgaw and you’re invited!

Grab a lawn chair and bring a friend to the courthouse square THIS week for a time of worship, preaching, and fellowship. Services begin at 6:30 PM.

There will be different musical guests nightly.

Speakers for the week are:

- Dr. Geraldine Dereef of Macedonia A.M.E. (Thurs. 5/14)

This event is put on by Kingdom United.

Kingdom United is a collaboration of churches from Pender County coming together to promote Jesus Christ to the community and bring together all people for that purpose.
